I want to say thanks to all of you that posted with regard to my dropped stitch! I laddered that sucker up the way it was supposed to be and then used the same thread and weaved it in on each end. Now, I can show you the blocked doily! (Thank God!)
It came out rather well, if I do say so myself! It certainly is not perfect, but it sure looks nice off the needles!
Caryn got her license this past Friday, so now, both of us are happy! I don't have to do the bring to school route on my way to work, and she doesn't have to get to school extra early. Caryn got a really good shot of our Bailey Blue last night. Bailey loves to "herd" the barn swallows that swoop in our back yard. We have an underground fence for her (that's what that big collar is on her neck) and she runs back and forth along the fence trying to catch them! It's really fun to watch, plus as an added bonus you don't have to throw the ball for her for 20 minutes!
Bryan got all settled into his dorm and he sounds like he's very happy. I guess it's true, they all have to grow up sometime!
Ok, so, I'm back to knitting socks, and trying to knit Hyrna from Three Cornered and Long Shawls from Schoolhouse Press. Look under Lace in the books section! In progress photos to be seen next week.

hi june! nice lace :-) and i didn't know you had a blog, have added you to my favortes!
You've done a fabulous job!! That is a gorgeous doily, and I don't think I'd be able to find a problem even if you pointed it out.
That was low on my WIM (works in mind) list, but I think I'm going to have to bump some of the other projects down instead....
And bless you for fencing your dog! How fun that he gets to herd the birds.
Beautiful June:-) It looks so perfect to me! It sounds like the kids are settling in to the routine.
It came out great! Glad you made the fix.
I am so impressed. I don't know if I would have been able to pick the ladder up to where it should have been. I can usually fix mistakes but not in lace knitting.
Hi June - I'm hoping that you will send me a message so I will know exactly how to get a message to you from me - Donna
