Pictures are worth a thousand words. . .

Well, sort of anyway! My camera is finally back, but actually it appears to be a brand new camera with a new serial number too! Hopefully, this one won’t crap out on me! I do have pictures to share, one of my mutated Arches. I just didn’t really like the arches, so, I came up with a different scheme. Nitro just can’t stand for me to be taking pictures without him in them, so here’s the first shot:

And now the second:

I have also been working on the DFS KAL and here is a shot of chart one completed. The yarn is Lisa Souza’s Sky Drama, and these are just way too dark. If you are really interested in the color shoot me a line and I have a good shot of the skein before winding.

Off to Mexico City and Taluca next week on business, so probably won’t be posting next week. I really don’t dare bring my camera!

Take care -

Spring is in the air!

It's 80 degrees outside! At least according to our themometer it is! Yeah, finally back to warm weather! This time of year always makes me want to spin, spin, spin! Or just process fleece, is it just me?? Do any of you other spinners always seem to produce more at certain times of the year? Hmmh something to ponder I guess.

Bailey went to the vet this past weekend, she was a big hit, and updated on all her shots. Here's a good shot of her:

She really is just that cute and soft and sweet! Ok, so just one more:

Oh, and you know, I don't want Nitro to be jealous, so here's one of him:

Maybe next week will have some knitting content!

Bailey Blue . . .

Thanks to our neighbor's daughter, Whittney, we have some pictures of the puppy to share this morning with you all!
We named her Bailey (after her Mom) and Blue for Blue Merle Australian Shepard. She is just the cutest thing and so sweet natured. Nitro is not too sure he likes this situation much, but he hasn't been too awful to her anyway. The worst part has been the worry of what to do with her on Monday when we all have to go back to work/school. We are planning on putting her in the laundry room, with the door closed, since she can jump baby gates! Holy cow, never thought that would happen!
My son is having a much better semester so far this second semester, and we are thankful for that! He comes home the week after next for Spring break. . . guess what he's going to be doing??! Puppy sitting!
I have been spinning every chance I have on some mohair/wool blend which is really yummy. I also tried some roaster oven dying this weekend and was aiming for coral/pink but the roving looks very much like orange to me. . . I think I was over zealous with the dye splashing, so, I'll try again next weekend. Pictures from a throwaway digital camera have been taken, and a call to Fuji has been made. Supposedly, they had to order parts. . . blah, blah, blah. I'm not impressed.
Off to entertain the furry friends!
